If you are a public service chief executive, Deputy Commissioner, or public service employee, you are protected from being sued in certain situations. You are protected when you do something or do not do something in good faith while doing your job or using your powers. You can also look at section 6 of the Crown Proceedings Act 1950 to learn more about this. This means you will not be held liable in civil proceedings for your good-faith actions or decisions.
