Local Government (Water Services Preliminary Arrangements) Act 2024

Watercare Services Limited - Watercare charter

76: Secretary to prepare Watercare charter

You could also call this:

"The government prepares a plan for Watercare with Auckland Council's help."

The Secretary has to make a Watercare charter with help from Auckland Council. You will see the Secretary talking to other people they think are suitable to get their ideas too. The Secretary will then make any changes they think are necessary and send the charter to the Minister.

The Secretary has to send each part of the charter separately, which you can read more about in section 78. They will send the second part of the charter after they have already sent the first part. This is how the Secretary will prepare and submit the Watercare charter.
