National Parks Act 1980

Financial provisions

57: Application of revenue from national parks

You could also call this:

"How the money from national park visits is used to maintain and improve parks"

When you visit a national park, the money you pay for things like entry fees or camping goes to the government. This money is put into special bank accounts. The Minister in charge of national parks decides how to use this money. They can use it to buy new land for parks, rent land, look after the parks, make them better, or study them. They can also use it to teach people about national parks.

Sometimes, people give money to the national parks as a gift or in their will. If they say the money should be used for something specific or in a certain park, the government must use it that way. They can't use it for anything else.
