National Parks Act 1980

Infringement offences - Infringement offences

71B: Specially protected areas

You could also call this:

"Protected areas in national parks need special permission to enter"

You need to be careful about specially protected areas in national parks. You are not allowed to go into these areas or stay there unless you have a special permit. The government gives out these permits under section 13 of the National Parks Act.

If you do get a permit to enter a specially protected area, you must follow all the rules that come with it. Breaking any of these rules is not allowed.

If you enter a specially protected area without a permit, or if you don't follow the rules of your permit, you are breaking the law. This is called an infringement offence, which means you could get in trouble or have to pay a fine.
