National Parks Act 1980

Offences

70A: Sentence of community work

You could also call this:

"You might have to do work for your community if you break national park rules"

If you break the rules in a national park, a court might give you a punishment called community work. This means you have to do some work to help your community. The court can give this punishment to anyone who is found guilty of breaking the National Parks Act. When the court decides to give someone community work, they follow the rules in Part 2 of the Sentencing Act 2002. These rules tell the court how to set up and manage the community work sentence.
