National Parks Act 1980

Infringement offences - Regulations

71O: Regulations relating to infringement offences

You could also call this:

"Rules for breaking national park rules and paying fines"

The Governor-General can make rules about infringement offences. These rules can say what happens if you break the bylaws in national parks. The rules can set fines for breaking these bylaws. The fines can't be more than $1,000 if you pay them right away. If you don't pay right away, the maximum fine can be up to twice that amount. The rules can also say what information needs to be in the notices you get if you break a bylaw. These rules are called secondary legislation, which means they are published in a special way.
