Illustration for Deposit Takers Act 2023

The Bank can stop a resolution manager from doing their job at any time and for any reason. You will know this has happened because the Bank must send a written notice to the resolution manager. The notice must say when the termination takes effect and it must be published in the Gazette.

The termination date must be on or after the date the notice is given. If the resolution manager is working for more than one person, the Bank can stop them from working for one or all of those people. The Bank can make this decision and you can find more information about similar rules in the past, such as in the s 141(1) from 1989.

The Bank has the power to make these decisions about resolution managers, and they must follow the rules when doing so.
