The law also changes what it says about who is in charge when a deposit taker is in trouble. You will see that the words "statutory manager" now also include "resolution manager". This means that both the statutory manager and the resolution manager are responsible.

The law uses the word "their" instead of "the statutory manager's" to make it clear who is responsible. It also adds the words "or resolution" to another part of section 189 to include both types of management.
