The Retirement Commissioner has some jobs to do. You need to know they monitor how this Act and its rules affect people. They also give advice when the Minister asks or when the Act says they must. The Commissioner teaches people about retirement village issues and shares information. They collect and share information to help with their jobs. The Commissioner can do other tasks that this Act or its rules say they can. When the Retirement Commissioner asks, the person in charge of a retirement village must answer questions and give information. They must do this within 20 working days or by a later date the Commissioner allows. The Commissioner can ask for information to do their job, and the village operator must provide it to help the Commissioner.
