You can be charged fees when the Registrar does things under the Retirement Villages Act 2003. The Registrar can stop doing something until you pay the fee. You have to pay the fee to the Registrar or the Registrar-General of Land. You might have to pay a penalty if you do not give the Registrar a document on time. The penalty is like a fine for not doing what you are supposed to do. The Registrar can also charge fees for other things. The Registrar can choose not to charge you a fee, or can charge you a smaller fee, if there are rules that let them do this. You can find these rules in section 101(1)(h). If you do not pay a fee, the Registrar can take you to court to get the money. The court can make you pay the fee because it is a debt to the government. You have to pay the fee to the Registrar or the Registrar-General of Land. The Registrar can get the money from you if you do not pay the fee.
