78Protection for witnesses and counsel

  1. The following have the same privileges and immunities as witnesses and counsel in courts of law:

  2. witnesses giving evidence (whether at inquests or otherwise) for the purposes of inquiries opened under this Act; and
    1. a person, corporation, or body being heard, in accordance with section 58(2) or (3), in relation to a proposed adverse comment by a coroner in the course, or as part of the findings, of an inquiry; and
      1. counsel appearing before coroners (whether at inquests or otherwise) for the purposes of this Act.
