Illustration for Coroners Act 2006

You get paid if you are a coroner. The Remuneration Authority decides how much you get paid. You also get allowances. Your pay does not decrease while you are a coroner. If you work part-time, you get paid a proportion of the full-time pay. Some coroners can have their pay reduced if they stop being the chief coroner or deputy chief coroner. Nothing in this section applies to you if you are a coroner because you are a District Court Judge, as stated in section 22(a) of the District Court Act 2016.
