106Acting chief coroner

  1. The Governor-General may appoint another coroner to act as chief coroner until the chief coroner resumes the performance and exercise of the functions, powers, and duties of that office if the chief coroner is, by illness, absence from New Zealand, or by some other cause, prevented from performing and exercising those functions, powers, and duties.
