"When you might not be allowed to register your trade mark"

If you apply to register a trade mark, you need to follow certain rules set out in the Trade Marks Act. The Commissioner of Trade Marks will check if you have followed these rules correctly. If you haven't done everything right, the Commissioner will give you some time to fix any problems. If you can't show that you've followed all the rules within the time the Commissioner gives you, they will say no to your application. This means your trade mark won't be registered.
