Trade Marks Act 2002

Administrative provisions and miscellaneous - Register of trade marks - Offences relating to register

185: Offence to make false entry in register

You could also call this:

"It's against the law to make fake entries in the register or use them as proof"

If you make a fake entry in the register or create a fake copy of an entry in the register, you are breaking the law. This is also true if you show or give someone a fake entry or copy as evidence. You must know that the entry or copy is fake for it to be against the law.

If you are found guilty of doing this, you could go to jail for up to 2 years.
