Trade Marks Act 2002

Administrative provisions and miscellaneous - Register of trade marks - Search of register

184: Search of register

You could also call this:

"You can look up trade marks in a special book and get official copies"

You can search the register of trade marks if you want to. To do this, you need to pay a fee. You can search the register when the Commissioner's office is open during normal working hours. Sometimes, the Commissioner might let you search at other times too.

If you need a certified copy of something in the register, you can ask for one. You'll need to pay a fee for this as well. A certified copy is an official copy that proves the information is correct.
