Trade Marks Act 2002

Administrative provisions and miscellaneous - Register of trade marks - General

182: Contents of register

You could also call this:

"What information must be kept about trade marks"

The register must have certain information about trade marks. This includes the names and addresses of the people who own the registered trade marks. It also needs to show when the trade mark was registered, when it's considered to have been registered, and when someone applied for it in New Zealand.

If a trade mark has expired but is still registered, the register needs to say this. It also has to include information about when trade marks are given to someone else or passed on to a new owner.

The register needs to include notes about certain things related to trade marks, like when someone says they don't have rights to certain parts of the trade mark. It also needs to show any rules or limits placed on the trade mark.

Finally, the register must include any other information about registered trade marks that the law says it needs to have.
