Trade Marks Act 2002

Administrative provisions and miscellaneous - Miscellaneous - Amendment of other documents

194: Amendment of documents other than application

You could also call this:

"Changing mistakes in trade mark documents you've sent"

You can ask the Commissioner to change a document you've sent them, as long as it's not an application to register a trade mark. This includes any other kind of application, notice, or document you've given them for the Trade Marks Act 2002. You need to ask the Commissioner in writing, or your agent can do this for you. The Commissioner can make changes to fix typing mistakes or clear errors. They can also make changes if they think it's fair and reasonable to do so, based on the situation. Remember, this rule doesn't apply to trade mark registration applications - those have different rules for changes.
