Trade Marks Act 2002

Administrative provisions and miscellaneous - Miscellaneous - Fees

195: Fees

You could also call this:

"The Commissioner can give you back money if you pay too much or by accident"

If you pay money to the Commissioner by mistake, or if you pay money that you don't need to pay under this Act, the Commissioner can give it back to you. This is called a refund. When the Commissioner gives you a refund, the money comes from public funds. The Commissioner doesn't need any special permission to use this public money for refunds. This Act allows the Commissioner to use public money for refunds without asking for extra approval.
