Smokefree Environments and Regulated Products Act 1990

Restrictions on advertising, promotion, sale, and distribution of regulated products - Information and warnings at point of sale and on Internet

38: Point-of-sale health information or warning signs

You could also call this:

"Show health warnings when selling certain products"

If you sell regulated products, you must follow certain rules. You have to display a sign that tells people about health information or warnings, and this sign must comply with the regulations made under section 81(1)(15). You must put this sign where people can easily see it, at each point where you sell the products, either outside or inside your business.

You must make sure the sign only gives health information or warnings, and does not say anything else. If you do not follow these rules without a good reason, you can get a fine of up to $2,000.

If the regulations made under section 81(1)(15) are in place, you will need to follow them when selling regulated products.
