This Act has different parts that help keep you safe. The Part 1 section stops people from smoking and vaping in workplaces and schools. It also stops people from smoking and vaping in some public enclosed areas and early childhood education and care centres.

The Part 1A section stops people from smoking and vaping in vehicles when children are inside. The Part 1AA section stops people from selling, making, supplying, and distributing disposable vaping devices. The Part 1B section helps control who can sell vaping products.

The Part 2 section controls how regulated products are advertised, promoted, sold, and distributed. The Part 3 section controls the packaging and labelling of regulated products. The Part 3A section helps control what is in smoked tobacco products.

3AAGuide to this Act

  1. Part 1 prohibits smoking and vaping in workplaces, certain public enclosed areas, registered schools, and early childhood education and care centres.

  2. Part 1A prohibits smoking and vaping in vehicles carrying children.

  3. Part 1AA prohibits the sale, manufacture, supply, and distribution of disposable vaping devices.

  4. Part 1B regulates entry into the vaping products market.

  5. Part 2 regulates and controls the advertising, promotion, sale, and distribution of regulated products.

  6. Part 3 regulates the packaging and labelling of regulated products.

  7. Part 3A provides for the regulation of constituents of smoked tobacco products.

  8. Part 4 regulates the safety of notifiable products.
