3ABTe Tiriti o Waitangi (the Treaty of Waitangi)

  1. In order to provide for the Crown’s intention to give effect to the principles of te Tiriti o Waitangi (the Treaty of Waitangi), this Act—

        1. requires the Minister, before preparing regulations relating to requirements for smoked tobacco products, to consider the risks and benefits to Māori of regulating a constituent (including both users and non-users of smoked tobacco products).
