To notify a product, you must enter information into a database. You need to include your contact details and a description of the product, including what it is made of, as set out in regulations. You must also declare that the product meets the requirements mentioned in section 62.

63How to notify product

  1. A notifier must notify the notifiable product by entering on the database—

  2. the notifier’s contact details; and
    1. a description of the product and its parts (including its substances) in accordance with regulations; and
      1. a declaration by the notifier that the product complies with the requirements referred to in section 62.

        1. A person who, without reasonable excuse, provides false or misleading information in notifying a notifiable product commits an offence and is liable to a fine not exceeding $50,000.
