Racing Industry Act 2020

Racing - Racing New Zealand, racing codes, and racing clubs - Racing New Zealand

10: Functions of Racing New Zealand

You could also call this:

“Racing New Zealand helps different racing groups work together and speak as one voice”

Racing New Zealand is a group that helps the different racing codes work together. You can think of it like a meeting place where they can talk about things that affect all of them. Here’s what Racing New Zealand does:

They provide a place for the racing codes to talk about important issues that affect all of them. This helps the racing codes agree on how to handle these issues together.

Racing New Zealand can speak for all the racing codes when they need to talk to other groups mentioned in the law. But they can only do this if all the racing codes agree.

The racing codes can also give Racing New Zealand some of their powers. These are powers that the racing codes can use together under the law. If they decide to share these powers, Racing New Zealand can use them on behalf of all the racing codes.
