If you are a special care recipient, your biometric information can be collected to help manage your care. This means the people in charge of your care want to make sure you are safe and secure. They also want to stop you from doing things you are not allowed to do, like breaching section 67A.

You will have to let them collect your biometric information if the Director-General of Health, your care manager, or a compulsory care co-ordinator tells you to. This is so they can do their job properly.

The rules about collecting biometric information are also subject to any regulations made under section 150(ca).
