If the Director-General of Health has to decide about a special care recipient's leave under section 66(1), you need to know what happens next. The Director-General must tell a victim that they are making a decision about the leave. They must also explain the process for granting leave and how the victim can be part of that process.

The Director-General has to explain how leave is decided under section 66 and what the victim can do to participate. This means the victim gets to know what is happening and can have a say in the decision.

The Director-General must take all reasonable steps to make sure the victim is informed and involved in the process.
