278: Uttering false certificates

This section of the law, called ‘Uttering false certificates’, used to be part of the Crimes Act 1961. It was in a part of the law that dealt with arson, damage, and waste. However, this section no longer exists. It was removed from the law on 1 October 2003. The government made this change through another law called the Crimes Amendment Act 2003. If you want to know more about why this change was made, you would need to look at section 15 of that Act.
