Crimes Act 1961

Miscellaneous provisions

410: Regulations

You could also call this:

"Rules made by the Governor-General to help the Crimes Act work properly"

The Governor-General can make rules to help this Act work properly. You might wonder what kind of rules they can make. They can make rules about things like the forms people need to fill out when they are involved in a court case under this Act.

They can also make rules about how much money people have to pay for things like court fees or for interpreters to help them in court. The Governor-General can make rules about other things that are related to this Act too.

When the Governor-General makes these rules, they are called secondary legislation, which is explained in more detail in Part 3 of the Legislation Act 2019.
