This section of the law has been removed. It used to be about what happens when a judge orders a new trial for someone who was found not guilty before. The rules about this changed on 1 July 2013, so this part is no longer in use. If you want to know what happens now when there’s a new trial, you’ll need to look at other parts of the law that are still active.
