The Minister can give advice and help to the group that looks after a reserve. You might get this help if you are in charge of a reserve or if you have been asked to control and manage it. The Minister can also give help to people or groups who own or look after land that is not a reserve, like those appointed under section 38(2).

The Minister can decide whether to charge for this help or not. You can get help with things like managing or developing the reserve or land. This help can include guidance and technical services.

The Minister can give help to different types of groups, like voluntary organisations or Maori incorporations. You might own the land or have been appointed to look after it under laws like the Maori Affairs Act 1953. The Minister's help is available to support you in your role.
