The Governor-General can make rules to help this Act work properly. You need to follow these rules when you are in a reserve. The rules can say what happens if you break them, like paying a fine of up to $5,000.

The Governor-General can also make rules to stop people from doing things in reserves that are against other laws, like laws about betting or gaming. This helps keep reserves safe and respectful. The rules made under this section are called secondary legislation, and you can learn more about what that means by looking at Part 3 of the Legislation Act 2019.

The Governor-General can make more rules to help with the administration of reserves. These rules have to be followed by everyone who uses the reserves. If you want to know more about the rules, you can look at the legislation website.
