Special provisions as to recreation reserves set apart for racecourse purposes
67Leasing
The administering body may from time to time lease the whole or any part of a recreation reserve set apart for racecourse purposes at such rent and on such conditions, not inconsistent with the purposes of the reserve, as it thinks reasonable—
- to any person for any term or terms of years not exceeding 7 years at any one time:
- with the prior consent of the Minister and subject to such conditions as he or she prescribes, to any racing club for a term of years not exceeding 33 years, with or without provision for renewal for 1 or more further similar terms.
The powers of leasing conferred by this section are in addition to and not in substitution for the power of leasing conferred by sections 54 and 73.
