Fair Trading Act 1986

Unfair conduct - Misleading and deceptive conduct

12: Misleading conduct in relation to employment

You could also call this:

“Be honest about jobs and don't trick people looking for work”

You should not trick people about jobs. This means when you or someone else is offering a job, you can’t do things that might fool people. You need to be honest about whether the job is available, what kind of job it is, and what the rules are for working there. You also need to tell the truth about anything else that has to do with the job. If you do something that could make people confused or believe something that isn’t true about the job, that’s not allowed.
