Illustration for Human Rights Act 1993

You cannot be stopped from entering a public place or using a public vehicle because of discrimination. If a place or vehicle is open to the public, you should be allowed to use it. This also applies to facilities like toilets or shops in those places or vehicles. You are allowed to use public facilities like everyone else. No one can ask you to leave a public place or vehicle because of discrimination. This rule applies to all kinds of vehicles, including boats, planes, and hovercraft. If you are treated unfairly, it is against the law. You have the right to access public places, vehicles, and facilities. This law is in place to protect you from discrimination.
