"What 'Race Relations Conciliator' means now"

Illustration for Human Rights Act 1993

You will see the words Race Relations Conciliator in some documents. These words now mean Race Relations Commissioner. This change happens from the start of this section, unless it does not make sense in the context. You might see the words Race Relations Conciliator in contracts or other important papers. In these cases, the words now mean the Commission, not the Commissioner. This is how you must understand these words, even if they were written before this change.
