You are part of a Tribunal proceeding. The Contempt of Court Act 2019 applies to you. This Act has rules that apply to Tribunal proceedings. When these rules talk about a court, they also mean the Tribunal. You need to know that when the rules mention a Judge, they are also talking about the Chairperson of the Tribunal. The rules also mean a Tribunal member when they talk about a judicial officer. An officer of the Tribunal is included when the rules refer to an officer of the court. Some rules do not apply if there is only one Chairperson of the Tribunal, like Subpart 2 of Part 2 and sections 25 and 26(1) and (2) of the Contempt of Court Act 2019. The rules from the Contempt of Court Act 2019 apply to Tribunal proceedings with some changes. This means you must follow these rules during the Tribunal proceeding.
