Illustration for Human Rights Act 1993

When you make a complaint under section 76(2)(b), the Commission gathers information. They do this for the purposes of section 76(2)(c) or (d). The Commission talks to people in private. The Commission can hear from anyone they think is suitable. But, except as provided in section 81(4)(b), you are not automatically allowed to talk to the Commission. The Commission will try to give you all the information they gather about your complaint as soon as possible.
