"Changes made to other laws because of the new student loan rules"
This part of the Student Loan Scheme Act 2011 lists other Acts that are changed because of this new law. These changes are called amendments. The list includes many different laws that deal with various parts of life in New Zealand.
Some of the laws that are changed include the Accident Compensation Act, which helps people who get hurt, and the Education Act, which is about schools and learning. There are also changes to laws about money, like the KiwiSaver Act and the Tax Administration Act.
Other laws that are changed deal with things like voting (the Electoral Act), prisons (the Corrections Act), and keeping personal information private (the Privacy Act). This shows that the new student loan law affects many different areas of life and government in New Zealand.
