When you have a contract for a residence, some rules from the Public Service Act 2020 apply. These rules are like the ones in clauses 2 to 4 of Schedule 6 of the Public Service Act 2020. The contractor is treated like the person in charge of a government department.

The staff who work at the residence are treated like employees of the government department. This means the rules from the Public Service Act 2020 are used as if the contractor and staff were part of the government department. You can find more information about these rules in the Public Service Act 2020.
