If you live in a residence, you can do work to earn money. You can work in the residence or in a prison, either on your own or for someone else. To do this work, you need approval from the person in charge of the residence, or from the person in charge of the prison and the residence if you work in the prison. You can keep the money you earn from working, but there are some rules you must follow, which are explained in section 40. The rules about keeping your earnings apply if you are allowed to work under these conditions.
