After someone's assessment is done under section 41, a manager must make a plan for them. This plan is called a management plan. You need a management plan to make sure your needs are met while you are in a residence.

The manager must follow guidelines when making the plan. The plan must say what you need, how those needs can be met, and what supervision you require.

The plan also includes a programme to help you achieve your goals and eventually leave the residence. It covers any limits on your rights, treatment, and programmes you can join, like those under section 36. The manager must review the plan with you at least every 12 months.
