The manager looks after a resident's management plan and must check it regularly. You can find out when this happens in the plan itself. The manager also checks the plan when someone like a court or an inspector says they should, or when the resident asks for a change, as long as the request is genuine.

The manager checks the plan when they think the resident's situation has changed and the plan needs to be updated. If the manager wants to make a change to the plan after checking it, they must talk to the resident about the proposed change.

If someone else asked for the plan to be changed on behalf of the resident, the manager must also talk to that person. After listening to what everyone has to say, the manager can make changes to the plan if they think it is necessary.
