Contract and Commercial Law Act 2017

Sale of goods - Remedies for breach of contract - Remedies of buyer

196: Interest and special damages

You could also call this:

“Getting money back when things go wrong in a deal”

You have the right to get back interest or special damages in certain situations, even if other parts of the law don’t mention it. This applies when the law says you can get interest or special damages. You can also get your money back if you paid for something but didn’t get what you were supposed to get. This rule applies to both buyers and sellers.
