Contract and Commercial Law Act 2017

Other commercial matters - Bills of lading, sea waybills, and ship’s delivery orders - Application

311: This subpart applies without prejudice to application of Hague Rules

You could also call this:

“This part of the law works together with other shipping rules”

This part of the law is about shipping goods. It says that even though there are rules in this part of the law, there are also other important rules called the Hague Rules. These Hague Rules are part of another law called the Maritime Transport Act 1994. Both sets of rules can be used when deciding what to do about shipping goods by sea. This means that the Hague Rules are still important and can be used alongside the rules in this part of the law.
