Contract and Commercial Law Act 2017

Other commercial matters - Power for shipowner to enter and land goods, and lien for freight

339: Wharf owner’s or warehouse owner’s rent and expenses

You could also call this:

“Paying for storing and caring for your stuff at a wharf or warehouse”

If you put goods in the care of someone who owns a wharf or warehouse, they can charge you rent for keeping your things. They can also do what they think is needed to look after your goods properly, but you have to pay for that too. The wharf or warehouse owner can keep your goods until you pay the rent and any other costs for looking after them.
