Contract and Commercial Law Act 2017

Contracts legislation - Illegal contracts - Court may grant relief

75: Who may be granted relief

You could also call this:

“The court can help you if you're in a tricky situation with an illegal contract”

You can ask for help if you’re involved in a contract that’s not allowed by law. This includes if you’re part of the contract, if you did something illegal while carrying out the contract, or if you’re connected to someone who was part of the contract. The court might be able to give you some relief, which means they might be able to help you out of a tough situation. This help is available even if the contract itself isn’t legal or if something illegal happened while people were doing what the contract said.
