“How to get your stuff back from a wharf or warehouse when you owe money”

If someone owes money for keeping goods at a wharf or warehouse, they can get their goods back by doing two things. First, they need to show the wharf or warehouse owner a receipt proving they’ve paid what they owe. Second, they need to give the wharf or warehouse owner either a copy of that receipt or a document from the shipowner saying they don’t owe any more money for shipping. Once they do both these things, the wharf or warehouse owner can’t keep their goods anymore.
