Contract and Commercial Law Act 2017

Other commercial matters - Carriage of goods - Application and effect of subpart

242: This subpart applies to carriage of goods by carrier under contract

You could also call this:

“This part explains when the rules apply to someone moving your stuff”

This part of the law applies when a carrier (someone who transports things) agrees to move goods for you. It doesn’t matter if they carry the goods by land, water, or air, or even if they use more than one way to transport them. The law also applies when the goods are being moved along with passengers. However, there are some exceptions to this rule, which are explained in another part of the law.
