Legislation Act 2019

Interpretation and application of legislation - Time and distance

55: Extension for doing thing if day or last day is not working day

You could also call this:

"If a deadline falls on a non-working day, you can do it on the next working day instead."

If you have to do something on a particular day because of a law, but that day is not a working day, you can do it on the next working day. This also applies if you have a limited time to do something and the last day of that time is not a working day. You can find more information about this rule by looking at the law from 1986.
