Legislation Act 2019

Drafting and publishing of legislation - Drafting and publishing legislation - Other provisions applying to secondary legislation not published by PCO

74: Applicable publication requirements for secondary legislation not published by PCO

You could also call this:

"Rules for publishing laws made by others, not the government printer"

When secondary legislation is not published by the PCO, you need to follow certain rules. The rules you must follow are the first ones that apply to the empowering provision. These rules can be the minimum requirements under regulations made under this Act, or the requirements recorded and published by the PCO under clause 14 of Schedule 1.

If there are requirements to publish, notify, or make secondary legislation available that applied under an Act before this section came into force, you must follow those too. You also need to check if section 75 applies to the secondary legislation. If it does, you must follow the rules set out in that section as well.
